"Northern Mockingbird" Watercolor on 9”x12” Arches 100% cotton cold press paper. “Remember, it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird. ‘ That was the only time I ever heard Atticus say it was a sin to do something, and I asked Miss Maudie about it. ‘Your father’s right,’ she said. ‘Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy…but sing their hearts out for us.” I think the mockingbird is one of the most prolific birds in my neighborhood in Austin. Long after all the other birds have flown north in the spring, I can still hear their beautiful song in the park across the street from my house.
